In the planning and design of protection and control technology (secondary technology), VESCON can draw on the experience gained from more than 100 implemented projects –- always with a view to new technologies and developments. Especially upgrades or conversions in existing plants place the highest demands on planning. VESCON has specialists* at its disposal who have been active in the industry for over 20 years and who also have extensive experience in the implementation of new construction projects.

The secondary engineering project planning for substations and switchgears of maximum, high and medium voltage includes among others:

• Development of protection, control, measurement, monitoring, transmission, signalling and auxiliary power concepts
• Calculation and determination of the parameters for protection and control technology, voltage and E-coil regulators
• Linking of existing and new systems as well as the connection of external systems (e.g. those of other grid partners)

In close cooperation with the electrotechnical engineering department, VESCON can also benefit from the experience and developments in other industries. The large number of CAE tools that can be used (RUPLAN, ENGINEERING BASE, EPLAN etc.) speaks for itself.
