Testing and Commissioning
Safety for every scenario.
Putting plants and components into operation in the high and medium voltage network requires a large degree of expertise and experience – particularly as regards dynamic network processes. A good commissioning engineer is characterized by his profound knowledge about the power flow and short circuit behaviour of the various networks, the response times of network components and by his experience and competence when it comes to the analysis of faulty processes. By sending their own commissioning engineers VESCON is sure to provide this essential know-how.
Before the newly constructed or upgraded plants are put into operation, however, they have to undergo numerous checks. The primary test device CPC 100 and the secondary test system CMC 356 by Omicron which we use for this purpose are state-of-the-art and multifunctional test instruments.
This computer-controlled diagnostic device allows us to test all kinds of protection devices from all generations. The powerful current outputs of the CMC 356 enables us to test conventional electromechanical relays. Our additional test modules also give us the flexibility to test more complex digital protection relays. By reading out recorded fault events, the CMC 356 can also be used to carry out repeat tests with actual fault parameters. This makes it much easier to test different protection devices from a variety of different manufacturers.
