Education Paths at VESCON.

Apprenticeship or studies?
Why not both together?

A dual study programme or part-time studies offer many advantages, as they combine theory at the university with practical phases in a company. This will enable you to get to know your field of study from both sides, which will speed up your progress. And the best thing about it is: You get paid to do it. Unlike a normal course of study, you will receive an apprentice salary from the company in which you complete the working phases.

A dual study programme or part-time studies with VESCON: The perfect start in Mannheim, Munich or Gera.

You can complete a study programme with VESCON at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Mannheim, Gera-Eisenach Cooperative State University (DHGE) or Munich University of Applied Science (HM). The practical phases then take place in our locations in Frankenthal, Reiskirchen or Eching near Munich. You can also study part-time at the Munich University of Applied Science.

Apply for the upcoming winter semester now.

In Mannheim, Munich and Gera, courses always start with the winter semester (1 October). In order to begin a cooperative study programme, you need to apply in good time to a practical company such as VESCON. You can apply to study at the Munich University of Applied Science by July 15th.

Do you have any questions about the application process? Sabine Nöring, Katharina Klenk and Moana Holla will be more than happy to assist you.

Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW)

The DHBW in Mannheim is one of the largest and best-known addresses for a cooperative study programme in Germany. We offer  the following courses of study in cooperation with the DHBW:

Electrical Engineering – Automation

Studies in Automation deal with the automation of technological systems in great detail. From the simplest sequence control in hardware to complex process automation and monitoring systems, students are taught the necessary skills and knowledge for hardware and software. Systems theory is dealt with in measurement and control engineering events and laboratories. Two student research projects, each with a different focus, guarantee a broad education and enable students to get to know the different areas better.

We offer this area of specialisation at our locations in Frankenthal, Reiskirchen and Eching. Further information on this area of specialisation be found here.

Electrical Engineering – Electrical Energy Technology

Electrical Energy Technology deals with the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy as well as high-performance applications of electrical energy. Topics of control technology are as much a part of the spectrum as the application of electrical energy in drives and transport systems.

We offer this area of specialisation at our Frankenthal location. Further information on this area of specialisation can be found here.

Electrical Engineering – Electronics

Electronics deals with the development and use of electronic devices, systems and facilites, as well as with the operation and management of transmission systems and communication networks.

We offer this area of specialisation at our locations in Frankenthal, Reiskirchen and Eching. Further information on this area of specialisation can be found here.

Electrical Engineering – Energy and Environmental Technology

During their studies, students acquire basic understanding and a broad overview of the procedures related to the development and application of techniques for generating, converting, storing and using energy. They also learn that energy and environmental technology are a closely networked system.

Graduates acquire a wide range of qualifications during their studies. In addition to a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, graduates also acquire knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary for the design and use of technical systems in Energy and Environmental Technology.

In addition, they also acquire sound know-how about the business side, such as investment calculation, amortisation and emissions trading, which enables them to make an active contribution in all areas of Energy and Environmental Technology.

We offer this area of specialisation at our Frankenthal location. Further information on this area of specialisation can be found here.

Computer Science / Applied Computer Science

IT specialists require very good skills when it comes to interdisciplinary communication and cooperation. Computer Science introduces students to the process of converting models into machine-understandable instructions whilst also taking side effects into account. Data protection and data security ensure that unauthorised persons cannot use a programme or data. Graphical data processing, one of the most important interfaces between the real and virtual world, enables the direct use of image data while offering a visual form for  human data processing.

Creating a technical infrastructure is the third line of work of an IT specialist. The apprenticeship focuses on the structure and function of a computer system, as well as securing operation of computer networks. Application-specific programming languages, operating systems and database technologies are further pillars.

We offer this area of specialisation at our Frankenthal location. Further information on this area of specialisation can be found here.

Computer Science / Information Technology

Information Technology Engineers solve problems at the interface between computer systems and technical applications. This entails designing models to steer processes in order to incorporate them into hardware or software.

We offer this area of specialisation at our Frankenthal location. Further information on this area of specialisation can be found here.

Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM)

As a company that offers the practical phase (located in Eching), we cooperate with the Munich University of Applied Science in the following courses of study:

Mechatronics / Precision Engineering (Part-Time)

Intelligent and increasingly miniaturized components or machines can be developed and produced with the help of Mechatronics and Precision Engineering. These are often complex systems in which the combination of electronic circuits, software and precision mechanics leads to completely new technical solutions. The course of studies at the Munich University of Applied Science imparts all the necessary knowledge from areas such as Mechanics, Optics, Electronics or Computer Science.

What makes the Munich University of Applied Science special is that students have the opportunity to study Mechatronics and Precision Engineering part-time. This means, for example, that you can study while persuing your profession. The duration of study is then eleven semesters, not the usual seven. In addition, you can adapt the entire study load to your personal life and work situation, so that even studies, career and family can be balanced.

Further information about this programme offered part-time can be found here.

Mechatronics / Precision Engineering (Bachelor’s/Master’s)

The course of study and what you can do with it later.

Course of study: Bachelor’s and Master’s.

The Munich University of Applied Science offers a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics and Precision Engineering, which can be supplemented by a corresponding Master’s degree upon successful completion. In order to begin the Bachelor’s programme, which lasts seven semesters, a pre-study internship or relevant work experience is required.

You can find more detailed information about studying at the Munich University of Applied Science here.

Production and Automation (Bachelor’s)

Whether it be cars, computers or household appliances: Without Production Engineers, many products would not have the quality or be available at the prices we are used to today. This is because Production Engineers plan how these products are manufactured, which production processes are best suited and how factories and production lines can be efficiently organised.

The Production and Automation area of study prepares students for this versatile profession and provides them with the necessary knowledge – from the basics of Natural and Engineering Sciences to specialisations in the areas of Production, Automation and Information Technology. In addition, business management is also on the curriculum.

Graduates in this area are sought-after specialists who work in manufacturing companies in all sectors and have excellent prospects for the future.

You can find more detailed information about this area of specialisation here.

Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (Bachelor’s/Master’s)

Life without a computer, mobile phone or TV? Fortunately, thanks to Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, we no longer have to imagine such a world.

This area introduces the basics and provides practical knowledge of future technologies. Electrical Engineering and Information Technology are characterised by rapid change and permanent innovation.

Engineers in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology are highly sought-after specialists and managers with excellent career prospects on the job market, because in terms of turnover and employment, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is one of the three largest industrial sectors in Germany, alongside Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering.

You can find more detailed information about this area of specialisation here.

Gera-Eisenach Cooperative State University (DHGE)

The DHGE has been offering cooperative study programmes in Thuringia for around 20 years.
